Getting to Shindzela Tented Safari Camp
Fly from Johannesburg to Hoedspruit Eastgate airport, Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA) or Phalaborwa.
On arrival at either of these airports, you will need to book an airport transfer:
- Johannesburg to Shindzela - 6 to 6.5 hours
- Nelspruit to Shindzela: approximately 3 hours 15 minutes
- Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport to Shindzela: 1 hour 15 minutes
- Timbavati Gate to Shindzela: 50 minutes to 1 hour.
By Road from Johannesburg
Take the N4 highway from Johannesburg. Travel via Dullstroom, Lydenburg (Mashishing), Ohrigstad and Hoedspruit. Alternatively travel the N4 to Nelspruit, White River, Hazyview and Acornhoek. Driving time from Johannesburg to the Timbavati is approximately 6 hours.
