Day 1: Start of your African Safari
Depart Johannesburg on a flight to Hoedspruit. You will be met and transferred by road to your value for money safari camp at a private game reserve bordering the Kruger National Park. The organic style of the lodge buildings blends in naturally with the environment. Your three nights and four days at on safari unfold in whatever way suits you.
The family chalets are comfortable and unique with a back to nature appeal. For those on a safari honeymoon, your months of planning are over - relax in a double hammock by the pool and soak up the tranquillity.
Day 2 - 3: Explore the Greater Kruger
The Timbavati is one of Africa's world-renowned, unspoilt wilderness reserves. You can enjoy two game drives per day in open-top Land Rovers. Prepare for memorable encounters with the Big Five and keep a look out for different bird species - there are around 350 species in the reserve. The morning game drive departs at dawn and the night drive leaves in the late afternoon.
Skilled rangers and qualified trackers will bring you close to nature with their extensive knowledge of the flora and fauna found in the reserve. There is always a ranger on stand-by for an optional morning bush walk after breakfast.
In the evening you will be treated to pre-dinner drinks around the fire in the traditional boma (outdoor reed enclosure), followed by a delicious candlelit dinner in the dining room or out in the open riverbed, surrounded by flares and cauldron fires.
Day 4: Bid Farewell to the Bush
Embark on your last early-morning game drive with a hot water bottle and blanket over your knees followed by delicious breakfast.Pack your bags and bid farewell to the elephants coming down to the waterhole for a drink and to the grazing nearby giraffes. Depart on a short road transfer to Hoedspruit for your flight to Johannesburg.
