Day 1: Johannesburg to Timbavati Private Nature Reserve
Depart Johannesburg on a flight to a safari lodge in the Timbavati Private Reserve where you will be met by your ranger and introduced to the area. Your three nights and four days will be spent experiencing the gracious style of hospitality from a bygone era combined with luxurious modern comforts. You can retreat to a hammock on your private veranda or choose a perfect spot to relax in at the main lodge.
Day 2: Safari Lodge in Timbavati
Each day is yours to discover at leisure. You could cherish a tranquil morning in your beautiful suite as the bushveld comes to life or enjoy a variety of superb daily activities and bird watching. Game drives led by your experienced ranger depart at dawn and dusk every day. You will be served tea, coffee and biscuits on the morning game drive and drinks and canapés on the sunset drive.
Your evening game drive gets back after dark, which gives you the opportunity to see nocturnal African wildlife with a spotlight. Dinners are a magical affair and could take place in a variety of settings. You could be dining in the atmospheric boma (outdoor enclosure) around a warming open fire, at a spectacular bush setting or even around the flood-lit waterhole.
Day 3: Safari Lodge in Timbavati
Guided bush walks are available on request and take place just after breakfast. This is a wonderful way of experiencing the "finer" aspects of the Timbavati Nature Reserve. Additional activities offered include a scenic helicopter flight and excursions to a unique golf course and wildlife rehabilitation centre in the area.
In between activities you could indulge in a pampering massage either in your suite or at the therapy lapa (gazebo). For those maintaining a fitness regime, there is a fully equipped gym in the camp. Sun lovers can relax by the pool with a refreshing drink and game view at the same time.
Day 4: Timbavati Private Nature Reserve to Johannesburg
Today you savour your last morning safari activity and a delicious breakfast on your Tranquil Opulence Safari Package before you leave Timbavati Private Nature Reserve. Bid a fond farewell to your African safari and catch your return flight to O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg.
