Umlani Bushcamp in the Timbavati, accommodates guests in comfortable, traditional style Shangaan reed huts, each has en-suite facilities, with open showers so that guests can shower under a blanket of stars.
Guests can choose to be accommodated in one of 4 double huts, 4 family huts.

Four Family Eco Huts offer flexible sleeping configurations to suit different group sizes. Two huts feature a double bed and two single beds, accommodating up to four guests, while the remaining two offer a double bed and one single bed, sleeping up to three.
Each hut is en-suite with an open-air bush shower, and comfortably appointed with white mosquito nets, crisp white linen and towels, standard bathroom amenities, insect repellent, and bottled water - though the tap water is perfectly safe to drink.

There is also a unique sleepout option in an exclusive tree house which is 2.5 km from the camp. Umlani's treehouse is a world unto itself - a private sanctuary overlooking a still dam, where the only sounds are the rustling of leaves and the distant call of the bush.
Settle in amongst plump pillows and warm blankets, a cooler box of drinks within reach, and let the wilderness unfold around you at its own unhurried pace. Time here is measured not in minutes, but in game sightings and golden light.

At the lodge there is a splash pool for cooling down on hot bushveld days here in the Timbavati. The central dining and bar facility, as well as the adjoining boma are full of inviting spots for you to relax and socialise after an exciting day in the bush.
Umlani Bushcamp offers an authentic safari experience and does not have electricity, so light is provided by paraffin lamps, but hot water is available in the reed-walled showers, all adding to the true bush experience.
