As a guest at Walkers Plains Camp, you'll come face to face with more animals rather than khaki-clad tourists. The journey there is incredibly scenic, not to mention effortless.
Timbavati Private Nature Reserve is located on Kruger Park's western boundary, nestled between the Manyeleti in the south and the Klaserie in the north. From the town of Hoedspruit, it is only a 20 km drive to Walkers Plains Camp along the R40 to White River.
If you are flying in from Cape Town or Johannesburg, we'll arrange for you to arrive via Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport with a private road transfer that takes 20 minutes straight to the lodge. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for game sightings on the way.
Directions from Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport
- Exit the airport, turn left (East) on the Argyle Rd.
- Please note that continuous cellphone reception ends here.
- Continue until you reach the Enkhulu Gate which is the main entrance to the Timbavati Private Nature
- Reserve.
- Once through Enkhulu Gate, continue on the tar road for 2.4km and turn right at the Walkers Plains Camp sign. Follow the dirt road for 500m and you will arrive at Walkers Plains Camp.
