Umlani's cultural accommodation in Timbavati Game Reserve is in comfortable reed and thatch huts with either en-suite or separate facilities.
Umlani Bushcamp in the Timbavati, accommodates guests in 10 comfortable, traditional style Shangaan reed huts, each has well appointed en suite facilities, with open showers so that guests can shower under a blanket of stars. Guests can choose to be accommodated in one of 4 double huts, 4 family huts or the Eco-hut.
At the lodge there is a splash pool for cooling down on hot bushveld days here in the Timbavati. The central dining and bar facility, as well as the adjoining boma are full of inviting spots for you to relax and socialise after an exciting day in the bush.
This historic lodge offers an authentic safari experience and does not have electricity, so light is provided by paraffin lamps, but hot water is available in the reed-walled showers, all adding to the true bush experience.
After a long day out on game drives, enjoy refreshing sundowners and listen to the unique sounds of the African wilderness while sitting around the camp fire.
