Location of Kings Camp, Timbavati Nature Reserve

Kings Camp offers luxury safari lodge accommodation within South Africa’s wildlife wonderland of the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, located near the Kruger National Park.

Kings Camp is located in the northern corner of Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, which sits adjacent to Kruger National Park. This premier safari reserve reaches into both the Mpumalanga and Limpopo Provinces of South Africa and is filled with enough wildlife to make even the most seasoned safari-goers salivate.

There are no borders separating the Timbavati from the Kruger which means there is a constant flow of animals into the area. Characterised as ‘savanna bushveld’, it is a breeding ground for African wild dogs (now endangered), and is also the place where you can witness white lions.

To get to Kings Camp by road takes roughly six hours from the city of Johannesburg. You can also get there via Eastgate Airport, which takes an hour and 30 mins and is followed by a 40-minute drive to camp, with plenty of sightings on the way.
